Where to by "C" clip that holds pin for liftgate supports?

As the title says, where can I buy the "C" clip that holds the pin that holds the lift-gate supports?

I opened my gate up and noticed I was missing one and the pin was almost halfway out.

You can use a piece of stainless steel wire and twist it into the groove until you can find the c clip

Thanks for the tips. I was hoping someone had run into this before and knew the size, #, etc. I may just head to lowes and get a couple of options that look close

I gave one to my wife one day she was headed to Lowe's. She didn't have a problem finding them. Think they were a few cents.

I am using this one which works just fine, but is smaller in diameter than the original. I measured the gap on the "bolt" that the c-clip sits on with a micrometer and it read .247.

Went by lowes today. Seems to be the right size, maybe a smig Thicker but should work. I'll keep and eye on it and will post if they don't last.

LOL nice.

It occurred to me (after losing one and then eventually finding it with a strong magnet) that I should’ve covered it in silicone paste before popping it off, then maybe the paste would’ve kinda glued it in place so that it didn’t fly away. Or if it still flew away, maybe it wouldn’t have bounced as far.
