Have seen some posts, but none with any really clean places to put the CB receiver and the microphone. also where under the truck have you guys been placing your speakers?

i just installed my PA and CB on friday. I'll try to get some pictures on here to show you what i did. The mount for the whip that i used was recommended to me by gaterose and it is great so far. I have a 4 foot whip and a cobra 19 DX IV 40 channel CB radio. I'll try some pictures now. Give me a minute.

I also mounted mine with velcro
I have since moved it to the other side, so its closer to me.
As far as the mic, I got a cheap mic hanger for like a buck, and bent it to fit fit inbetween the radio bezel and the dash.

I want to get me one of these: Amazon.com: Cobra 75WXST 40-Channel CB Radio: Car Electronics and mount the handset plug in one of the blanks on the center console where the dac is. Then when not in use I can just leave it in my center console. I like the above mentioned Antenna mount. That's nice! I think I'm gonna do that too. Love the forum and ideas.

I don't even really want the cb, I just want a pa that I can also do what the guy above suggested. I just wanna use one of the blanks and run the wire to the speaker to the front of the car. What do I have to get to do this?

Sorry for all the questions, but if I get this, what is the thing in the middle of the box? I mean what is supposed to be plugged into that?

The handset plugs into it. It's a whole CB unit channels and everything all in one unit that you can just unplug and hide in a console when not in use...which is what I'm thinking of doing to mine...

Radio Shack has decent loudspeakers, I got one there a few years back that was 100W and I didn't need to get an amp to run it. Also, there's a small "male" connector I got from there (had to drive all over town to get it) and I soldered the speaker wire from the PA to the CB.
I don't remember the specific connector I bought, but it was gold colored and had 3 prongs inside it, you only use two of them...hope that isn't too confusing.
