where to find tundra TRD front coilovers

I have been looking for a reasonable price for used Tundra TRD front coilovers everywhere and I can't seem to find the correct ones. I always find regular Tundra front coilovers. I have been to many Texas craiglists, TTORA classifieds, and T4R classifieds and nothing. I've called numerous junkyards around/in Houston and nada.

if someone knows someone who has them or can point me in the right direction, this would be greatly appreciated.

if all fails, I plan to go all around tokico trek master with 881s and 906s (just fyi)

FMI, (for my information), do the TRD coil overs come in different lengths?

In looking in Canada for them, apparently the Tundra 4X4 quad cab had lengths from 13.7" to 14.29." I need to specify which ones I want when looking at the wreckers. The 4WD 2 door models seem to be the same throughout the production years.

What is different on the TRD, than from the non-TRD models? WHy are the TRD's the ones to find? Are they longer, softer? Has anyone measured the TRD unit?

I plan on selling my Tokico's in two weeks. I have a SS 1.2 lift with Tokico blue in the front. I am updating them to the Bilsteen 5100 adjustable shocks. They are great but I plan on adding a good amount of extra weight.

The shocks only have 40k on them so I assume they are pretty good. The ride is great. I plan on putting them on craigslist here in San Diego pretty soon.

Check out Car-part.com. You can look at the whole country and find some pretty good deals. Look under either coil spring or strut assembly. You should be able to get them for around $125 for both. Just make sure you ask them about the y/y y/b and possibly take a picture for you.
 
yeah I checked out car-parts...but those guys are asses to deal with....called 10 different places...all said they would call me back...didn't....ahh fooeyy

thats it...I've decided to get OME 880s + 906s from wheelsoffroad and tokico trek masters R/T from autoanything...totaling ~500ish
 
The colors are found on the middle of the spring. It desginates the spring to be a TRD progressive spring. It will give you the lift you are looking for and they are a nicer riding spring than the non TRD springs.

Are Ivan Stewart front coilovers gonna give me the same amount of lift (off a 200 Tundra)?

Lol mann...I totally forgot I started this thread. Since my last post here, I did a lot more research and decided to use 99 tall springs with tokicos. If you are going with some OME springs, you might want to look into bilsteins to handle the greater flex. Look into Bilstein Shocks | Bilstein PSS10 | Bilstein PSS9 | Eibach Springs | Koni Shocks | Tokico Shocks for struts because when I was there last, they had all 4 bilstein struts for approx. 300 dollars. Goood luckkk
 
this is assuming you dont have any other lift stuff yet:


ever consider buying a package lift? it takes the guesswork out and its pretty cool getting one box with everything you need in it. . . esp when its quality stuff.

i just feel like all the effort/time/separate shipping costs that come with "finding the cheapest price" may not always end up being the cheapest price when its totaled after completion


I also feel there is more room for error when choosing all the parts individually. after all, most of us are not master mechanics - although sometimes i wish i had chosen a different career path . . .
