Which aftermarket headlights? Halo?

I am tired of polishing my headlights and just want to get something new, possibly brighter. I like the look of the halos. What headlights is everyone using when they replace or upgrade their lights?

Would like to know as well, especially thoughts on replacements for 05 Stratosphere Mica. This color seems hard to match up with smoke or black

I personally went with TYC stock replacements with ZXE bulbs. I've had good luck with TYC in the past. I will however probably upgrade to 06+ headlights with a morimoto retrofit in the future but I don't have the time and spare funds to do it right now.

i just ordered these and they should be here by Tuesday or Wednesday, Xenon 6000k crystal white with halo rings should put out some pretty decent light. I've owned a pair that are beaten up now, they look good. There's a few styles to choose from, so I upgraded to HIDs with a glossy black finish to match the 4Runner www.protuninglab.com

Like I posted in a thread I started on the same topic, I contacted Truck Lite as I have them on my Road King. They told me that NAPA was a local supplier and when I stopped by they told me they sold for $54.00 each. Maybe I was misinformed? IDK. They did show me specs and it was something like 300% brighter than stock.

I got the same from Protuninglab a couple of weeks ago. I love them. Super bright with the HID kit. One thing did happen. The inside got these little spider web like cracks on the inside. I emailed Protuninglab about it. Sent them photos and They shipped me new ones right out no problem. I did have to put down a $100 deposit but just until they receive the faulty ones back. Good customer service.

Everything I see is either on white black or Grey. I would love to see these types of headlights in a dark blue truck. I haven't been able to find a good pic or reference yet. Anyone?

what do you have to do to hook up the HIDs? I see there is an optional harness

i run the Spyder Light replacements. im not a real big fan of the Spec-d lights. i got mine in black and love them, i run PIAA xtreme white bulbs in all of my housings and the pattern is very good, no real uneven light spots and pretty sharp cutoff at the top. They also sell a chrome stock style replacement aswell.

I see you have an '03 too.

I highly recommend doing the 03->06 headlight swap and picking up some OEM headlight housings. I tried TYC and both had defects. Got only one replacement cause they were trying to say I broke it, and then the third had a defect as well...

It may cost more, but the OEM headlight housings were well worth it.

And then to add in some extra lighting, I did the H9 and HIR bulb mods and damn the headlights have never been brighter. Sure, I could have gone with HIDs, but that is a whole new ball game that I did not want to play in. Just my thoughts.

Are you guys sealing these knock-offs when you get them to make sure they don't leak or just installing them as is? I've seen a lot of complaints of them leaking. I'd like to go oem but it's hard to justify the $500.

I just wet sanded and clear coated my 06-09 headlights with a UV protected clear coating so i shouldn't have any more issues for a few years. None of the aftermarket headlights will be as good as the OEM.
