Which Denso MAF?

I just placed an order from Amazon for a Denso MAF - p/n 1976020. After ordering at a price I thought to good to be true ($42) I have noticed that there is some debate between using this Denso part and the OEM Denso part - which I believe is 2220421010.

Has anyone had experience with the Denso 1976020?

I have done some research but this information is pretty scattered.

I would appreciate any input. Thanks!

i have been look at this as well. Last week this product from amazon was $71. So I am not sure why the price drop? have you installed it yet?

I bought the denso 197-6020 from rockauto, and it works great . I paid $66 , wish I could have gotten it t the Amazon price . I am reluctant to order from Amazon anymore , too many counterfeiters .

On 4th gen 2005 V6, I took the opportunity to go with an eBay seller from China to get a MAF at $17 being I didn't need one but it will also fit my 2005 Matrix. Seems Denso does manufacture from China and it was advertised as a Denso. It had no name on it and it is working for about 3 weeks in the Matrix with no check engine light so far.

The one thing is the resistors are either so small I can't tell their resistors or if they are just wires, which it looked like to me, it's really hard to see. I am just going to keep running this and keep the other one around for a spare.

Just pitching in to say that I believe the MAFs across several Toyota models of roughly the same year are compatible, at least physically.

The MAF on my wife's '03 Rav4 matches the MAF on my '99 4Runner.

I'm currently using an eBay non-OEM MAF as well. My original took a dump when I cleaned it while I was doing my valve cover gaskets. I think it was $17 too. I bought it as a 'just in case' a few years back, and hey, it paid off.
