Which fuse taps into dash dimmer?

Need to hook my stereo to it...got a fuse tap but don't know which one to hook to. If ya know post up. Thanks.

i think its the taillight..but u should have everything you need to tap into on your radio connector.

The power feed I need to find is for the dash lights. The stereo is WAY to bright all the time and is not hooked to the dimmer at all. The stock stereo harness didn't have a line for it that I could find

The dimmer is not on a fuse. The dimmer is on the negative side of the line, not the +12.

Hmmmm...interesting. I did not know that. Anyone know the best way to get this stereo hooked to the dimmer.

your heater illumination bulb maybe?

Typically the stereo wants the +12V to the bulb varied, the other side of the bulb is tied to ground (via the stereo's chassis).

Toyota has the illumination bulbs tied to +12V and the dimmer on the other side of the bulb to ground.

So tying into any illumination bulb won't work.
