Just did a little research and found out that the XC LT4 is made by Michelin for Sears and is apparently comparable to the LTX M&S. Trick is apparently to catch it on sale.

Good News!! Just called Sears and they are "on sale" for $173.84 per tire. That's before the small print. After the small print it works out to $239.66 per tire. I may as well get Cross Terrains.

XC LT

I remember a review done several years ago by Consumer Reports on the XC LT from Sears .... was rated below the LTX MS.

According to Consumer Reports the Cross Country's offer better rolling resistance and thus optimal gas mileage over comparable tires.

Hard to go wrong with the Cross County's ... too many reviews from users that give them thumbs up.

Let us know how you like them once you get them and how much your gas mileage has improved over the Dunlops.

In my mind, it was a no brainer for the 2007 V8 4Runner... Michelin Cross Terrains.

Smooth, comfortable, proven, optimal mileage, saves fuel and the close cousin to the LTX M&S that I've been running on my pickup, two full sets.

Once you go Michelin, there's no turning back. :

I think you are right. The more I look and do research, the more I end up back at the Cross Terrains. As I said originally, their raised outlined white letter design turns me off so I may go with blackwalls. Thanks to all.

Expensive mounting and balancing!

How in the world is Sears coming up with $50.00 per tire mounting, etc? that is after I figured about 8% sales tax!!:bash:

Yea - that's a "great deal".
