Which LED or HID work and don't work in 2010-2013 reflector type headlights

As to TRS, you DO NOT want them to do a retrofit, trust me on that. Componentry tho ... none better.

So what is the general consensus for a proper HID retrofit for 2014+ 4Runners with the stock projector headlights?

Two (maybe 3) retrofits have been posted to the forum, and the details are limited. I've compiled some details here while trying to upgrade my forward lighting.

I've been reading as much as I can about the possible solutions, and it seems the biggest limiting factor is the side mount bulb and the permaseal they use on the headlights.

From what I can tell, the biggest limiting factor is actually space, so a smaller projector will be needed.

Sorry for the confusion, let me clarify. I was looking for a HID retrofit and exploring the possibilities, and had read somewhere on the forums (forget if it was T4R or HIDPlanet) that a member had reached out to Lightwerkz and they turned him down due to the difficulty with our headlights and the permaseal. Maybe it's best I reach out to them again and see if things have changed.

And Griz yes the other issue is the limited amount of space we have. I would love a rear mount projector but unfortunately I just don't think that will work.

Quite possibly true. May be the reason for the side mount. I know my first RF was tight (depth-wise), and for my bigger LS-460s I had to Sawzall some sheet metal behind the light. Sooprise, sooprise, sooprise.

Thanks for Caesar's direct email. I emailed them earlier regarding a quote so if I don't hear anything I'll send him an email directly. I don't mind serving as a guinea pig to see how things work out with our vehicles as I'm sure I'm not the only person looking for a proper lighting solution.
