Which model did you get: SR5 Sport Edition or Limited

I wanted the sport, I love the hood scoop. but my wife wanted leather.
so I got the limited

LTD for me. I wanted the leather, dual climate, and all the other goodies.

I did want a hood scoop though, wish that was an option on a LTD too.

Strange that so many members have SE's. My dealer only carried about 10-20% SE models, yet over 50% of though members on this thread own SE's. I did not like the hood scoop or the factory push bar that came on mine but I wanted the X-reas and the other SE options. Now that I've had the 4runner for 4 months, I really like the looks with the scoop and the push bar. The 4thgeneration 4runner has a mechanical look to it that is very appealing. I now like it's looks better then a 100 series Landcruiser and the GX470. This new design really grows on you.

I soooo wanted the sport but in Canada it comes with sunroof which was too tight on headroom.

I'm not a big fan of fluff, and I wanted to keep the price down so scratching the limited off my list was easy. As for the sport, the wheels are cool, the XREAS is cool but the hood scoop and color restrictions were a problem for me. In the end I didn't think the SR5 leaned enough in the corners to warrant paying the extra just to get XREAS.

Damn, I was hoping you got the Sport and wanted to trade me hoods. Oh well, maybe someone else doesn't like it.

Wanted the sport for the XREAS until I found out I could get it on the limited also as an option.

Hoping someday I'll be in a parking lot, and see a guy with a silver sport and he stops me and says "I don't like the hood scoop, you wanna trade"

everyone just laughs at me for hoping that will happen.

i wanted the limited b/c it has the matching roof rails and running boards, but i liked the sport hood, xreas and all the other things, so i went with the sport hoping to find some limited running boards. (SO if anyone wants to trade or someone has some silver limited ones for sale PLEASE let me know)

i like the style of the hood scoop and the skid plate. Also most ive seen are that grey mattalic color that I really like. I have the maroon with silver trim

SE for me too

This didn't take a whole lot of thought for me. There were only two options I really wanted: XREAS and a moonroof. I didn't want leather, so SE made all the sense, and Limited's were a bit pricey.

SR5

It has all the safety features I wanted and none of the fluff I don't.

V8 has enough power to make do. Could be +300 since BMW and CaddySRX and Range Rover all make over 300 with smaller engine, but I'll live.

AWD and locking diff and low range

Don't like leather. Hot in summer (OW!) and cold in winter. Smells nice, but not for the price.

Don't watch movies so no DVD.

Don't sit in the back of my own car so no need for separte rear ac or any other stuff. IF my passengers don't like, they can walk.

Just a function first type of guy.....

Black SR5 V6 4x4, although in retrospect I wish I would have gotten the Sport. Oh well, I still love mine!
