Which new rear springs?

I've been looking for the price on the website and can't find it for these metal tech coils. I'm very interested in these.

Quite a change in price from bils/ome (~$320) to the metaltech/icon kit (~$700) for the rear. I'm sure you get what you pay for though.

oh yeah you do. the difference going from my toyotec superflex HDs with 5100s to my stage 4 metaltech LT kit. it was well worth the money.
 
I'm doing mine in pieces. Finds do coils for the rear. Then do the fronts over again then make the rear an LT setup.

Going back to this post, could you give any more detail on what would separate the Icon 2" rears from a set of Toytec Superflex coils? As far as the ranking order above is concerned.

I'm running superflex's currently with fox shocks and would be open to moving to a different spring to improve the ride if there's some good justification. Other searching I've done on my own doesn't really seem to indicate a staggering difference between the two.

oh im not saying you wont. hell even running the 12" travel icons with them still isn't the max they are designed for. they were originally designed for metaltechs rear 3link with 14" swayaways on their FJ. i just don't want a newbie to all this suspension stuff get confused and think they have to run the springs with the LT shocks and pass up the best springs for the 120/150 chassis in my mind.
 
Just to double check these are dual rate coils ? I could find that on the website. Meaning that they have a left coil and a right side so you don't have to run a spacer on the left to compensate for the lean

"Dual Rate" usually means that the top portion of the coil has a different stiffness than the lower portion of the same coil.

But yes, the MT LT coils are dual rate and have left and right specific coils to compensate for the lean.

even better! Thats what I thought by dual rate cause I saw the two different numbers showing that.

Are there any other Coils that compensate for the Lean? I have FJ Springs up front going to 2.5 Setting on 5100's. Would MT's in back be Level or More Ass High? Have 5100's in Back Too. Thanks for any help.

The change wouldn't be worth it or that noticeable. The Toytec are just slightly higher rate / stiffness. Both are Eibach springs IIRC.

None that I know of off the top of my head. You could always add a small trim spacer I think toytec sells that would fix it. The 2" MT coils, which are apparently hard to come by now, would be what you want to be level. The 3" HD coils would be a bit much IMO for the 2.5" front lift.

Not that we can recall. ARB makes a trim pack spacer that can be installed to correct lean on all other models of spring. MT in the back would be slightly higher than your front end, maybe a little too stinkbug.
 
I went ahead and ordered a pair of the 3 inch metaltech long travel coils. I'll post some pictures before and after. I
Couldn't find any reason not to buy them. Description wise and from what I hear you can't beat them.
