Which non A/T tires?

Are the new MS better than the old version? I remember the old version didn't do to well in the rain, when they were on my old Tacomo. But that might be because there was no weight in the back. Had good tread life though.
Right now I'm on the fence with the Cooper Discover at3 and the michilens ltx. I think this time around, I'm wanting to go with a purely road tire, but will consider AT's, if they have good reviews like the Coopers.

I have a set of Cooper AT3s on the way. I was going to buy the Michelin M/Ss, but I drive only 5-6k per year. I really doubt I'd get 12-14 years out of them to get to 70k, so thats why I went with the AT3s (plus a bit more of an aggressive look). The Michelins are really nice as I had them on my last truck, but I didn't want to not get the full value out of them.
