Which radiator should I buy

well my cheapo denso from amazon finally showed up...and I was amazed it did not have any broken bits..I knew it was a gamble with past denso radiator i have gotten shipped..denso does such a poor packing job.
And its prob the cheaper denso as the numbers dont have a "w" in it like referenced above....
did not know denso played that game of 2 different qualities.....if so... how can you trust the denso name

Just curious, where was it made? The Chinese made one I got was packaged far better than the Taiwanese made one. The one with the W in the PN is the same thing - not a Japanese made OEM quality Denso.

Denso is just using their name to get their slice in the cheap and crappy radiator game. They are a business after all. Like the Champion, many are still buying it despite it being junk, so they have no reason to change their business model.

So these two rads are the same? Thanks.

I installed a Denso 221-0508 in my 99 2WD

I ordered 16410-AZ011 for my 99 4WD

Both plastic, both appear the same in construction and quality. Both will be replaced after 100K miles

Part Number: 16410AZ011 fits a 2000
Supersession(s): 1640075160; 1640075180; 16410-AZ011; 16410YZZAJ

Excellent info - is Parts Geek the only place you found to sell Denso # W0133-1895498 ?

Parts Geek is a scam Bait and Switch company. I ordered the W0133 radiator 3x in November 2023.....EVERY Time they sent me the cheap radiator 221-0508, CS, including 2 supervisors refused to help me get the radiator I ordered, stop warehouse from bait and switch substituting without my authorization. REFUSED TO CREDIT MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE DIFFERENCE IN PRICE IN THE Unauthorized BAIT AND SWITCH. PG told me I had to pay for return and reorder...which I did 3x...bait and switch and billed for expensive radiator.. PG tells me today "stop ordering if we do not send you what you ordered"...PG will not refund difference...customer must pay return freight and insure package. W.R.F.?

I put a Denso in about 5k miles ago and it's been great for me so far. I believe that's the manufacturer of the OEM radiator.

Just curious, any particular reason you want to use this specific unit over the standard Denso replacement?

Nope... Going to replace my radiator soon and just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with that unit. Probably no compelling reason to NOT go OEM, but maybe someone knows more than me!

Unless you have a very specific need for it I see absolutely no reason to not to go with an OEM unit. No pressure to you or anything, that's just my opinion. These trucks aren't getting any younger so I always feel comfortable using OEM parts as often as possible when and where I can. I replaced my radiator in 2018 with a Denso unit from Toyota and it's been running strong ever since (Knock on wood)

Good info thank you. When it’s a Toyota, oem is almost always the best choice!

You can file a dispute with the CC company. They will likely reverse the charges for you

But I never installed it, sold it to a friend

Installed Champion CC1778 for a Toyota Tacoma, shorter/deeper core, higher volume
95-04 Toyota Tacoma Aluminum Radiator | Champion Radiators
Required a different bottom hose, I used and shortened Corolla bottom hose

Works great
