I went with the husky Liners
Well my wife surprised me and purchased several items off my truck equipment wish list for Christmas. Santa was good to me this year.
Included in the goodies received were a complete set of Husky Liners front, rear seat and rear cargo. These are for my 06 V8 4x4 Sport.
I was impressed with the quality of construction. These are well designed and the quality of the molding and materials are excellent. The fit is perfect and they stay in position under use. I've only been using them since xmas, so please keep that in mind as I give my feedback.
The first few days was just getting them to settle into shape after shipping. Once installed and in the truck for a few days they fit perfectly and were put to task during a day of wheeling in the snow and mud in the local (San Bernardino) mountains. I purposely tracked as much of the mountain as possible into the truck and let my family do the same. They held everything, felt good under foot, cleaned up without any trouble at all with a simple pressure rinse (plane water, no soap, no scrubbing) and looked as good as new when I placed them back in the truck.
The next test was only a day later when my daughter proceeded to spill a large coke on the front passenger side. We all know what a mess this would be without mats like these and the high edging containment. All worked as advertised. The husky Liner held the entire spill. When we got home I removed the offending fluid, pulled the
Husky Liner and rinsed it, and placed it back in the truck. All is like new and not a drop on my carpet. My daughter agrees that they were worth the money, she managed to escape the ordeal with no more then an amused look on my face.
Bottom line for me. Buy them and put them in for winter or every day use (I'll leave them in year round). They look great, work perfect and clean up without any effort. I am not comparing these to other brands, just giving my feedback on the Husky Liner. I did my research going in, and T4R.ORG is always part of that research, so this post is my small effort to give back to the group.
