Which shocks and struts have the most dampening?

I am really disappointed with the Monroes I installed. They barely have any more dampening than the 200k original stuff I replaced. I want maximum control. Zero bounce. What's my best bet?

OME are pretty dang tough

I find my Bilstein 4600 Yellow/Blues to be plenty stiff. Nice on twisty pavement but rough on dirt roads. So much so that I may look for something softer next time.

I hear that KYB Monomax rides even stiffer than the Bilsteins.

Through my searches I have decided that i will try OEM for most comfort. Too many mixed reviews on other combinations and I wont be offroading or towing anything significant.

Its tough to figure out based on reviews what will work best for you and some of the combinations are too expensive to experiment IMO.

So OEM for me when the time comes.

I will tell you this, tires make a big difference. I went with the Michelin LTX MS/2's and the ride different is night and day! I mean 100% better. The sidewalls on these tires are bigger than any other tire in the stock size and they sock up bumps incredibly. Biggest change I've done to my truck for ride quality.
