Which should I buy? Limited or Trail (Please Help)!!!!

The price for that used TE is WAY too high, I paid 38.5 for my new (19 miles at delivery) TE with KDSS/NAV, and that is still on the high end for a new vehicle.

I personally wouldnt pay more than 33k for that. 3k is not alot of miles, but used is used.

I hear ya. the used sales dept is funny. I have talked to the internet dept and negotiated a $39K price for a new limited. They also just got a 2010 Limited in stock w/6.8K Miles. The guy tells me tonight I can get the used Limited model for "only $39,900. I wanted to tell him I already had discussed a cheaper price for a new one, but just chuckled to myself.

I drove both the Limited and Trail tonight. The Limited was very nice. Very smooth ride. The trail was a bit more rough, but still a nice vehicle. Not sure which way to go. The Trail would be a better deal w/price, financing and is Certified Used. The Limited is more what I want, but more $$$$

Assuming you will be keeping the vehicle for 5 years or more...I will go with what you like if you can live with more $$$$ for the limited. Otherwise you will be reminded you should have chose what you like each time you get in your vehicle.

They're totally different trucks- IMO.

But either way, I wouldn't pay anything more than $500 below invoice.

And a lot less for one w/ 3K miles on it. (check the CarFax on that one)

If you want the floor mats, don't pay more than $100 for them.

Also, if your credit is good, don't settle for more than 2.9% APR.

I went with the limited because its what I ultimately wanted, and the deal with the husband was this is the last vehicle we will buy until it's paid off and for awhile afterwards, so the extra cost was justifiable. We weren't going to buy another vehicle we were going to trade in in a couple of years and lose what we put into it.

Let me ask you guys this...
I have been quoted a price of $39,050 for the Limited.
Right now Toyota is offering 0% financing for 60 months on 9 different Toyota's, but not the 4Runner.
I have excellent credit. Do you think I would have any chance of getting 0% financing for 60 months or a much lower percentage for 6-72 months if I ask.
I am right at or just a bit above what I want to spend, but this would make it affordable for me and right now is the sticking point for me purchasing now vs later next spring.

I'd say there's a 0% chance of get 0% financing.

Go to any Toyota dealership and you'll see a plethora of cars for which they're offering the 0% incentive on. Not too many 4Runners and Sequoias though.

BTW- My credit is perfect and I got the finance guy down to 2.9%. His initial quote was 5%.

I am looking to get a 72 month loan. I just don't like a huge car payment. So I want to spread it out some. And my plan is to keep this car for the long haul. If I could get 2.9-3.9% I would jump on that. I think I am just going to go for the price of $39K on the limited and a good financing rate and hopefully they will take it. Wish me luck this week.
