I had a Xterra and just got a 19 TRD Off Road. On my Xterra I had a Hardcore Steel front bumper and did little off roading, most of out travels were 2-3 day overland trips. I really like the expedition one front bumper with the hoops and the bull bar, and all the bells and whistles. I posted a question looking for pictures and found a few and I like the one I said above and the Southern style hybrid I guess that just goes where the grill is. It does have to have a mount for a winch in case we get stuck. So is steel really needed, I have no intention of rock climbing, I plan on dirt and mud, and maybe Moab in the future, and I know moab can be done with a sock suv.

I'm also searching for a winch bumper for my 2019. I had a Warrior Products bumper on my FJ. One feature I look for is good access to the winch drum, so you can properly dress in the winch cable or rope (rope in my case). And unfortunately so far I have yet to find a bumper where the winch isn't almost completely out of reach.

If I ever get a winch I'll get a hidden winch mount. Less weight, less cost and I like the look of the factory bumper. That's what I'd recommend.
