Update: Sold the LTD for $5500... Cash! Most money I've ever held in my hands, but only briefly. Would have been fun to just tuck it under the mattress but....
A few weeks after selling the LTD, I took a quick look under the SR5 and... DAMMIT! Greasy crap covering the right rear drum. Stupid axle seals!
So, after $900 (had to have it done quickly) I have 2 new axle seals (the other side was leaking also), a new brake line on the RR side, and new brake shoes (again).
$900 later (over $700 just in labor), absolutely no change in how it rolls or stops. Awesome.
I was hoping that while they were in there they could free up my rear diff lock and replace the ABS sensor but apparently each would be another $400 or so. I don't care much about either so I guess they'll just remain inoperative.
