I know this topic comes up often in our 3rd gen. Wondering if anyone have had a bad wheel bearing that didnt have play it in. I change out my rear driver because it had play and an oil leak. Noise still there, check all bearings. Put the rig on a lift and listen to the rear/front diff and transfecase with a automotive stethoscope no odd noise. Tied down the front driveline to stop it from spinning, still there. Same in 4x4 and nuetral. Decel acel dont matter. No play in ujoint or pinion bearings. The transfercase did have very minimal play though.
All fluids are new, bushings and boots looks good.
I am getting a low whirring at 20mph, and loudest at 40mph. Over 65mph there is a low barely noticeable hum.
