Hey so now that I think I got my head wrapped around some of the potential lift aspects... I'm actually thinking something different then I was originally with the tires...

Are any of you running Pizza cutters? 255/80's? I'm really thinking I might want to go that route instead of beef the width. I didn't know if I'd like the look of the 255's but after seeing some photo's I'm actually diggin it, and there's a lot of opinions/science around narrower tires potentially being "better" off road.

hahaha man do I feel your pain, my head is spinning trying to formulate my plan of attack on this rig.

I also really think I'm between Nitto Grapplers and the Cooper Maxx's.

But shit... I still need to get damn tints done! I got PLENTY of time before this stuff gets bought. Especially considering I just dropped a pretty penny on weathertechs from front to back ugh....

yea i just purchased some weathertechs. Im still thinking about the toltec lift. its in my cart to buy, but i don't want to pay to have it installed. i want to do it myself, but with my luck something won't fit right or something will go wrong. i already have the wheels and tires on. i love the durtracs. great tire so far.

Well, Nick... run with us some and the help can be had for the small price of a few beers and a Bloody Mary bar. I had [MENTION=112004]lofreqjeff[/MENTION], [MENTION=100116]D Farms[/MENTION] and [MENTION=122900]AZBub[/MENTION] over to do an install party when I put in my Ultimate kit. It's really not that hard to do, you just need to know what you're looking at and the order in which to do things. Extra hands, breaker bars and floor jacks also help a lot.

And something always goes wrong! I had the wrong size rubber bushings for the rear 5100s... I planned on re-using the factory ones and they were too big. So we cut the top one in half and ended up with an extra 1/2 inch of lift on the shock... hehehe... Redneck solutions to first world problems are the best!

I am running the 255 80 17 Pizza Cutter KM2's. Haven't had any rubbing issues. I am on stock suspension. Freakin' Coder bought the suspension I wanted on craigslist. Grrrr. ;-) In any case, I am happy with the lift I get with 33" tires. I do have two sets of tires and wheels. It's a major PIA trying to ever get my street tires put back on. The yahoos on this board want to do something awesome all the damn time!

Sitter? Take the 6 year old and have him/her sit up front and enjoy an outdoors day. Teach them to pee on a tree or on a cactus from a safe distance and watch the wind direction - valuable life skills.

Its 18ish, miles on New River Trail (FR41) to 7 Springs/Cave Creek (FR24) - 15ish miles from FR24 to Bloody Basin (FR269) another 10ish miles to get to the Sheep Bridge then 40ish miles from the Sheep Bridge to the I-17 via Bloody Basin: 83ish miles from start to finish including any side trails we might take. There is an old homestead off Bloody Basin that I like to check out that had some structures left last time I was out there - and there are some cool things to see along both New River and Bloody Basin. Google Maps says its a 5 1/2 hour loop:

Honestly, both ways I mentioned are pretty easy - but going in from Table Mesa is not maintained as much as the other way.

So the 'other' way is to take Cave Creek Rd east past Bartlett Damn Rd where it will start to head north, just past the Sears-Kay Ruins (worth a stop if you haven't bee there before) it changes name to 7 Springs Rd. That eventually enters into 7 Springs Recreational area which has signs everywhere about it being a Pay-Site, but if you don't stop(for too long) you don't have to pay. 7 Springs Rd (FR24) dead ends at Bloody Basin (FR269). From the Sears-Kay Ruins to Bloody Basin is about 27 miles, 90 minutes one way:

From there, you can turn around and head back, turn right (east) to head to the Sheep Bridge or turn left to take Bloody Basin 40ish miles to the I-17. Bloody Basin is a well maintained dirt Rd as is most of 7 Springs Rd. Going from Sears-Kay to Bloody Basin to the I-17 shouldn't require 4WD at all, but I would recommend airing down the tires for a smoother ride, those 2 roads can get very washboardy.
