I was even doing 65 down that road... on stock suspension. But then again, Cottonwood Canyon road is so well graded and smooth that it's like driving down the highway anyway. Just makes a LOT of dust... I actually slowed down a bit to let whoever was in front of me get ahead a bit so I wasn't eating so much dust.

Next time we go out there and end up at Cottonwood I'm bringing my arsenal and doing some shooting. I haven't had a bullet out of my AR in 6 months. Thats too long.

I was totally thinking primitive campsites. Would like to get back in the woods a bit.

Wanted to thank [MENTION=112004]lofreqjeff[/MENTION] for leading the run on the Sunday up to Reymert and the Sugar shack. Very cool areas back there behind Florence! I have some pics to post up from the excursion.

Is anyone else going to be up at the expo tomorrow? I'm heading up that way on Sunday with a gaggle of kiddos expecting some offroad fun. If everyone is bugging out from the expo early (or not going) I think I'll just plan on running Broken Arrow.

AZBub -- At least you're installing upgrades... I've got a ways to go. My first and only mod has been a CB install I did today (5 months after I got it). Still need a lift, new shoes and better armor. That'll be a cool 2K+ hit to the pocketbook!

Coder- Not anything super cool or fancy...yet. CB radio, mechanical stuff, bedliner spray on fenders and bumpers. May go the pizza cutter route with tires, like the idea of better gas mileage.

Maybe, just maybe some OME 891 springs in the rear, don't care about the rake just tired of the sag. Ill deal with the shock and front springs later. Anyone in AZ have a lightly used set laying around???

I got some spacers you can shove back there as a temporary solution. Will ride about as smoothly as OME's lol

Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market ... find some LC coils. I got mine for $75 shipped for the pair. Doesn't get much cheaper than that. Just add some $20/ ea Monroe shocks and you're golden in the rear end.

I'm going to be out of town for the holiday weekend then we're going on a trip with Offroad Passport the weekend after to DuPont Cabin. But Megan wants to go to the lake so we're going to plan on Butcher Jones either June 6th or 7th.

We'll either go in at Butcher Jones and bypass the first to coves and head to the 3rd, 4th or 5th depending on who comes and their comfort level with going beyond the 3rd - or go in from 4 Peaks which will lead take us to the 5th cove.

Everyone is welcome - let me know what ya think.
