I'm going to be out of town for the holiday weekend then we're going on a trip with Offroad Passport the weekend after to DuPont Cabin. But Megan wants to go to the lake so we're going to plan on Butcher Jones either June 6th or 7th.

We'll either go in at Butcher Jones and bypass the first to coves and head to the 3rd, 4th or 5th depending on who comes and their comfort level with going beyond the 3rd - or go in from 4 Peaks which will lead take us to the 5th cove.

Everyone is welcome - let me know what ya think.

so what happened? we had a great time, I hit almost all the obstacles with my tires. had to put my spare on when i got home, must have slashed the sidewall at somepoint, bald street tires for the win.

I've got another 20K worth of miles on my crappy Dueler's before I can justify getting rid of them... Looking at the KO2s in 275/70R17 or the Cooper S/T Maxx in 255/80R17. It really sucks that Toyota could only put a freaking 7 inch rim on their stock wheels. It severely limits your options on larger aftermarket tires. Even a 7.5 inch rim like on the TRD rims would be a huge improvement so you could at least run a 285/70.

I think I have settled on KO2's myself. If they are anything like the Ko's plan on lots of mileage on them. I was considering Duratracks but they appear to wear out pretty quick.

As for tires I am loving my Mastercraft AXT tires. They perform great both on and off road. At $110 per tire and their performance tbey are a hard tire to beat ime.

I like to go next week if still like to join. Never been on a trail yet would like to test my TE with easy trail to start..let me know any day in the week works for me
