I didn't get to see anyone else attack the water plus I hit the water a little too fast, but it turned out good.

My buddy Paul with the FJ has some great video of the crossing too, I'm waiting for him to upload them.

I agree, we need to do that again soon so we can enjoy the river more.
 
Looks like a blast! Ill need the ARB periscope and submariner kit for that crossing. Were there any fish in the river?
 
Only fish I saw were suckers and carp. But there should be largemouth and catfish in there... Next time I'll bring my fly rod with some big 'ol streamer patterns to try.

Well... I pulled the trigger. New shoes are on their way from the BFG warehouse here in Phoenix to my local discount tire. I'm going to stuff some new BFG KO2 34/10.5R17 tires under my little white billy goat. This will be a good test of how well they'll fit on a stock rim with a 3 inch lift kit on it. While they spec them as a 34 inch tire, the actual specs from BFG show them at 33.5 inches in diameter with them being .1 inch wider than stock...

Every other application of that sized tire I've seen is on aftermarket rims with different offsets from stock. I've already removed the front mud flaps in anticipation and I'm hoping I can get away with not having to do a body mount chop. My last alignment had my caster at right about zero, so I probably have some room to move the tire forward a bit so that may help. Worse case scenario, my neighbor does welding so it shouldn't be too difficult to get done. I'll have before and after pics up soon...

This will either be really awesome or a really bad $1,200 mistake! :crazy:

Go big or go home. You will probably need to extend your rear bump stops about an inch. it should be awesome though.

Yup... I was thinking this myself. One inch should be just about right. For now though, I can go crawl the parking lot at Chandler mall with no worries... LOL!
