I actually didn't find it on Craigslist. The guy had it posted in the For Sale section on this site as well and it was already sold when I PM'd him... Luckily the original buyer fell through due to shipping costs or something like that. :rofl:

Box Canyon Run 8/29 @7:00 AM
A buddy and I are going to head out to Box Canyon tomorrow and run it south to north and maybe take a detour to check out Martinez Canyon or lower Ajax up until it gets really gnarley... After running the Box numerous times, I think it's time to start exploring the other trails out there (and there are a ton of them). Exit will be out of Cottonwood canyon.
We're shooting to meet up at the shooting spot off of Price Road at around 7:00 am. Earlier means it's cooler and we avoid the afternoon thunderstorms.

Y'all missed out on a fun excursion this morning. We ran Box Canyon, south to north, followed by Martinez Canyon out till the road was closed. We then walked the last half mile or so to the cabins. It really is a shame that the canyon was closed to vehicular traffic. It is absolutely gorgeous down there. The rocks are jagged and blood red. Very cool. Finally after Martinez, we took a look at the beginning of Lower Ajax... That there is some scary rock crawling in the wash... I hear Upper Ajax is even worse. Anyway, I'll post some pics once I get them uploaded to photobucket.

The end of the road about a mile before the cabins. Unfortunately, the most technical areas of the trail are now unaccessible by vehicle.
So we hiked the last mile to the cabins. If we would have hiked further, we could have gotten to the mill, but it was too damn hot. Maybe this winter.
The canyon views back there are amazing... and there is a spring that was running, though not for very far before it went underground..
Finally, coming back out on Mineral mountain... My buddy in his FJ crawls over the waterfall.

So I went out on saturday and got to the spot you said around 7:10, I figured you had left already. I turned right at the spot where the red hill was and went over towards box canyon for a bit, then turned around, but we kept hearing stuff on the radio, and i thought it may have been you. at one point we heard someone say it was getting a little sideways, then we heard something about a 3 foot antenna and 4 foot antenna. we made it to the waterfall at around 10:00pm. I guess we must have passed you or maybe you were just later than I was haha.

Martinez is the one closed so they can destroy the whole area with a mine right? I think David and I ran a trail all along the fence line to that area when we ran N to S.
I think the winter time will be excellent to explore that area more. It's one of those areas where when you think you've seen it all there is a pleasant surprise.

Man... next time let me know you're coming. You missed us by around 10 to 15 minutes. We weren't chugging to make it on time since we didn't know anyone else was coming. Yup... that was myself and Ben talking about how much wiggle my antenna has when I'm going over stuff. I couldn't hear you at all.

Anyone up for something this sunday? Things have been crazy for me and now that its is calming down I am in need of a good wheeling day trip.
Hey guys! Just droppin in to say what up.
Been a crazy couple of weeks with family and friends in town, our 2yr wedding anniversary etc. But things are chillin out a bit now for a few months, so I'm really hoping to come out and meet some of ya'll here soon(Ish) and if any of you guys are planning to hit any trails that would be suited to a stock SR5 with running boards and road tires (ha God thats sad when I actually say it... I need fun mods boo) I'd love to come out and play a little in the dirt.
Anyone doing anything Saturday?
