Yeah, I forgot about that. They should come with the coilover spring. I forget what brand it is... You're install just got way more complicated as you will need to remove the current shock, leaving the top hat and bushings and then install with the new shock and coil. There are two ways to do this, 1) remove complete stock coilover and have a shop swap out the coil and strut, or 2) loosen the lower control arm and drop it down completely and do an in-place replace of the parts. You'll need an extra floor jack to do this. There are a couple of vids out there showing the process...

ive done it with a spring compressor and used the control arm method, and the latter is much safer and easier to do. even done it with the tires on.

Yea I was reading in someones build thread or something, that they bought the stock upper strut hardware (Does that make sense? I'm no suspension pro) that I guess they used when putting in the 6112's... Does this sound accurate? Was like 160 dollars or so from toyota

No more ass dragging and gas tank scraping for me. Fj80 8 wraps and Monroe FJ80 shocks. There is enough room in the wheel well I stopped and ate lunch up there.

Sounds legit... though I would think you could just use the upper strut that's already on the vehicle. You'd only have to buy a new one if you wanted to swap out the entire coilover rather than just the coil and shock.

Yea..... I have no idea lol. I'm still in the R&D stage of this haha. I tried finding that reference to that hardware again so I could try to reread it, but I can't find it right now :-/

I'm planning on heading to the Off Road Expo thing on Saturday the 26th.

unfortunately, I'm going to be unavailable to hit the dirt for a while; Too much other stuff going on with vaca's, Oktoberfest's, Cruise on Central, a long work trip the a trail clean up at Mud Springs - something every weekend until Oct 31st. Then the weekend after that is the 6th annual 4 Peaks Cleanup, which I'm once again helping organize this year! If you're free on Nov 7th, please come help us out!
