I wish I could get coilovers, easy bolt in no nonsense. instead I have to go the Bilstein tundra route and assemble them....what a PITA.

[MENTION=122900]AZBub[/MENTION] do you have the tundra shocks already. I have a set in my garage in a box from my '11 tundra. They have maybe 10k miles on them. I replaced them with icons not to long after I bought my truck. Now that I think about it I have both front and rear trd suspension off the tundra

They won't work unfortunately, they would have to be 1st gen tundra ones. The ones us 3rd gen 4Runner guys use are the adjustable height Bilsteins for the tundra. Thanks though.

Started my suspension last night. Went ahead and installed the rear shocks. Pretty easy and straight forward. I'll finish the rest Saturday. Can't wait to get out and explore with you guys. I always miss when you all go out.

anyone have a recommendation for a shop for lift install? i was going to go to absolute off road, but getting a call back from the guy seems to be a daunting task. i really really want to get these kings installed asap

There's a number of us that have "done it ourselves" already. Saves a considerable amount of money vs a professional install. I have tools, [MENTION=122900]AZBub[/MENTION] has tools, everyone has tools... Your primary issues will be needing jack stands, and at least two floor jacks. Are you just installing the front coil-overs or do you have rear springs and shocks to install too? It took us around 3.5 hours to do all four on my 5th gen (no kdss).

Oh and a bloody mary or margarita bar also helps with attendance numbers...

If you choose not to do the install yourself, I HIGHLY recommed Arizona House of Sound at 19th Ave and Deer Valley.

I was going to have my suspension done at a shop but they wanted to charge me $800. I said screw that and I'm doing myself at a friends place. It doesn't seem that hard.

Suspension just seems more difficult than it is. When David came over to help stuff land cruiser springs in the back of mine it was a PITA only because we couldn't lift the rear high enough to let the rear drop far enough. The easiest part was bolting in the rear shocks amazingly and thats where most 3rd gens have the biggest problems.

On a 5th gen if I remember correctly we removed the front sway bar entirely to get room which meant dropping the skid plates up front.

Rear shocks, springs, and coilovers. Bloody Mary bar and cold beers is definitely doable. I don't have jacks or stands, but I might just go buy some tonight if needed.
