Wife and I wheeled a trail up in Jerome last weekend. I found it through the book. Unfortunately we had to cut it short. Wife and dog were ready to be done after the drive up and heading directly to the trail. I couldn't blame them.

I took cave creek to 7 springs road today with my daughter, ran down trail 41 for a little bit, then back to 24 about 15 minutes past the Maricopa/yavapai boarder then turned back.

Gotta work tomorrow unfortunately.

depends how fast you go. but after doing it a few times we can do the whole trail in 2 hours if we dont stop and go at a decent pace.

I'll be up there too this coming weekend (leaving on thursday, staying through sunday). Hopefully with a cow elk hanging in camp aging gently... It's going to be rain rain and more rain. Might let up by sunday, but the forest service roads east of the I-17 are going to be pure slop. Let me know if you head out towards mormon lake. I can meet you somewhere if I'm not still trying to bag one.

I'll be "roughing it" in a tent, in the rain... Now, I will be on an inflatable air mattress though. After the last time up there a week ago, decided that a larger tent was needed that could accommodate better sleeping arrangements for myself! Hahaha! No more sore back for me!
