Just 2.28's. with a supercharged 3.4 that will be plenty low enough. with 4.88 axle gears and double low I will have 112.3:1 final drive ratio as apposed to a stock ratio of 40.3:1. thats almost 3 times lower. :bravo::bravo:
 
just remember that to run dual cases with a 4.7 in the rear you will need a lefty gear driven case from inchworm or marlin. There are no low gear sets for our chain driven transfers. you could run a 4.7 in the front case but it is not recommended as the rear case won't hold up to that much torque. duals with a lefty would be smexy but bank.

also you would have a final drive of 200 not 170 :)

first gear trans x front case x rear case x ring and pinion = final drive Ratio

3.83x2.28x4.7x4.88=200.29

Fail-gear will sell you a front case and a rear case to your specs for like $2,800.

I don't have 4.88 diff gears, I'm on 4.10's!
 
ok, I'm sub'd to thread... I'm in Gilbert AZ, the 87 is my normal off-shoot, been wanting to run mt ord, and the trail accross the road but closed for season... should be open now, or in 2 weeks... i don't remember.

anyways, I'm up for tag'n along, running stock atm, bil's are en-route and my 906 coils are waitin so not for long...

Cathy graduates her Nurse Practitioner program (NAU) on Saturday, we are thinking of going to the Cinders OHV play area on Sunday. Anyone interested is welcome to join us!

Should be fun especially with the cooler weather... I'm still in kids sports hell so my weekends are still shot. And Sunday is Mother's day. And monday starts a whole 'nother week of "fun" at work. Someday!

OK, our plans are firm. We will start at the Cinder Hills OHV area, and then do the O'Leary Peak Loop. Probably looking to be at the trail between mid-morning and noon. I will firm it up if others want to join! If time allows, we will take a spur that leads to a hike up Strawberry Crater.

Cinders OHV Area, May 15

David, Cathy and I went to the Cinders area, NE of Flagstaff. Saw some CRAZY people on 2 stroke 3 wheel ATV's screaming up very long steep hills. We went up some challenging hills of our own! Was a great time. We saw a couple of Pronghorn Antelope, jackrabbit and David saw a rattlesnake that I almost ran over. Super windy, super fun. I will certainly go back!

So, where is everyone hiding? Now that the expo is over, we need to plan an outing. I may even take a monday off so [MENTION=122900]AZBub[/MENTION] doesn't feel so left out...

Thinking of an overnight camping trip around Payson or Flagstaff with the obligatory off-roading and trail runs in between...

Suggestions?

I'm thinking fs 201 AZ, part of sunflower mine... The sunflower mine trail says hard, but Google search says 32's and open can make it... I'm 31s with 2inch loft and I want to try... But mainly want to explore fs 201 not the mine trail... It's a cross the road from Mt Ord...

You guys go up to the Mogollon rim area often? Just picked up a map from REI for Coconino National forest forest roads and that place has got a ton of trails I have yet to explore.
