who's been to tahuya wa?

I just got my 97 4runner and am looking at going out to tahuya here in Washington. Was wondering if there were some ppl that could give me some advice. My 4runner has 2"spacers than that is stock. Would it survive out there?

I've been there before, but it's been a few years. I have family in Kalama, and we went up there for a couple days. It really depends on what trails you go on, but you'll be fine on a lot of them. We went in an older stock SR5 Tacoma and did OK. I'm sure some people the frequent the area will chime in. There is usually a lot of water on the trail this time of year too. It's been referred to as a stock friendly trail system, so you should be fine.

A stock 4Runner could navigate Tahuya no problem. There is a rock garden for more advanced vehicles, and also watch out for the ponds, they can get kind of deep this time of the year. But if you stick to the main trails it is a cake walk.

Agreed. Right after you leave the trailhead there's a fairly steep/narrow bit. If you can navigate that ( you can ), you'll be fine on the trails. The rock gardens/ponds? Stay away from them. Even if someone assures you they're not that deep, they are. I took my stock 87 4Runner through there without a single issue. It had some fairly aggresive tires, but that was it. No damage to any of the vehicles I was with.
