THE FACTS: That belief should not be confused with a guarantee of health coverage for all. He makes no such promise. Obama hinted as much in the ad when he said about the problem of the uninsured: "I want to start doing something about it." He would mandate coverage for children but not adults.

---- btw, did you know that children of parents making below a certain amount do have free insurance ALREADY??? MEDICAID.

Seriously guys, ya'll sound like 15 year old punks... Is there anyway to be like "Thai, vote for who you think is the better guy, SonRunner, vote for who you think is the better guy..."

When a winner is chosen, if you don't like what he is doing tell your representatives, that's what they're there for... If enough people don't like what is going on and they say something to the appropriate people, (an internet automotive forum isn't the appropriate place...) something will be done, and if not, why do you think we are given the right to bear arms? Not protect ourselves from each other, but from the gov't... (Not preaching anarchy here, how about the revolutionary war?)

Please guys, quit calling each other names... It's getting rediculous... Lay off the personal attacks, family bashing, professional rips and etc. I feel that this violates many of the forums guidelines... And really guys this ain't cool, makes me sick to read it...

This election seriously worries me, being 19 and having "the rest of my life in front of me" I'm honestly scared as to where this country will go no matter who is elected...

I mean when I get ready to buy a house, get married, buy a new car, send my kids to school, shoot- even have kids, how is this going to affect me?:awais:

Don't worry about it. Everything comes in cycles. Just stay in school for a few years and things will fix themselves. Most economists think this recession will last at least a year, and at most 4 years. And keep in mind, if you have a decent job and good credit, you shouldn't have a problem getting a mortgage, car loan, etc.

It's all cyclical. Economies go up and down and it's actually healthy that the market corrects itself from time to time. I think we'll be out of this sooner than most.

That's not a cheap shot? The reason I went off on you earlier is for this statement. My guess is you don't know what indignant means, as you don't know how to spell it. It means "unworthy." The poor are not and those without insurance are not unworthy of health care, and to suggest so is disgusting and pisses me off and I'm sure many others, like no other. That you're a doctor and are throwing around such statements is just icing on the cake.
 
How many Republican voters really think that McCain has a chance? His campaign if full of dissention,back stabbing and rogue campaigning from Palin. When Palin and Mccain are on stage together it looks like a blind date that they can't wait to be over.

Now they are trying to link Obama to Khalidi which somebody forgot to check the fact that McCain gave the same guy almost $450k back in '98.

It's amazing how much of the GOP seems to get inflicted with Alzheimers when they try to talk crap about another party.

I am a bit nervous with the possiblity of the Dems controlling the the goverment since greed can affect them all too easily also but the GOP needs to fix alot of problems within themselves before I vote for them again.

Yes,I do feel confident about Obama's chances but it's a wacky world so who knows?
