As you can see in the link above, Obama is really not promising much of anything. (To be fair, neither is McCain.) You can tell by his use of words to get himself out of trouble later (if he becomes president). Indigent (that word again!) families with children ALREADY have free child care coverage. Obama is just saying this to get people's attention, but it is already available. He is NOT promising 100% adult healthcare coverage...he just said that his plan will be more affordable...isn't that similar to what everyone is trying to do (including McCain)?? He will force corporations to help out on healthcare coverage for employees...so, employers will still provide coverage...as they do now for most companies with full-time employees.
So, after a night's rest, i actually feel better about Obama. Why? There won't be any drastic change in anything. Lobby groups are too strong in our country. McCain will be the same way if he gets elected.
Four more years of the same for either candidates? We will see.
BTW, have you notice? When gas prices go up, everyone takes their aim at Bush. When gas prices go low, no one says anything about Bush (good or bad). Bush has very little to do with gas prices. We live in a society that can't see pass it's nose.
