Why Bosch Plugs Suck!

I just put the same plugs in mine. 4 prongs. Should I get rid of them?

I've heard of quite a few problems with the quad electrode ones in Japanese import vehicles but they seem to do well in plenty of other vehicles. If you can't return them or use them in anything else, you could just leave them in and keep an eye out for problems. If it were me, I would take them out since they're known to have compatibilty and performance issues in the 4Runner.

Do you rec. iridium spark plugs or platinum?

Do you rec. iridium spark plugs or platinum?

If you're not a fan of routine maintenance you should probably go with the iridium. Platinum is usually good for 60k miles, iridium for 90k miles. I don't think there are any advantages other than longevity with precious metal plugs. :cheers:

In my entire life I have had good and bad experiences with all brands of plugs except Denso and NGK, just good with those two.

I feel like I've come across a few people saying Denso over Bosch....newbie here but I've been getting acquainted with some of the threads and have definitely come across people saying Densos just seem to work out better for them as well.
