Why do threads get closed in the 5th gen section?

I read the entire thread before I ever posted.

as far as only one 5th gen mod, im not sure that's true. usually there are mods that cover the entire sight, not just one section. im pretty sure he was one of those.
maybe that's part of the issue? he spent the majority of his time in this one section? and perhaps more are needed...
he cant have been the only mod that covered this section though..

Before 1E we had one 5th gen mod... Jesse left, the 5th gen section went down the tubes quick, then 1E picked up mod responsibility and straightened out a lot of garbage going on. 5th gen specific... 1E WAS the mod. There are other moderators in other gens but not specific the the 5th gen section. If there is another 5th gen mod, they have never posted nor ever moderated a thing.

There are other mods on the site... but they have better things to do than babysit the 5th gen. The 5th gen is the current model and likely has more traffic (and new memberships) than any other single generation. It's the nature of the beast. Once there's a 6th generation and the 5th gen becomes old news, then that will be the newest most frequented section. So as of yesterday, we have no dedicated mod.
