I'm confused by the OP. if you wanted to tell us you have THREE houses, just start a thread stating that. No need to state the obvious that Walmart service sucks.

I get a shuttle to and fro work and have my Runner ready to go that same day. I've tried to do my nails at my desk but my boss wasn't having it...
This was really what you wanted everyone to know, wasn't it? So germane to the topic of auto maintenance.:clap2:

Beyond restating the obvious (you have three homes ), and you took it to Walmart of all places, you didn't stand/sit around for 20-30mins to WATCH them work on your (expensive) truck?
I understand your experience might have been frustrating but I think you wear some good responsibility for this.
Even if I do take my truck to the dealer from time to time (dash replacement, accelerator pedal mod) I am not leaving it around. If there are questions or concerns I want to be there to address them.

Is that why you came here on a T4R forum, to say you are a fool to trust Walmart?
That having 3 houses makes you no smarter than than the homeless folks who live in the Big City?
I do almost all of my own work, and use shops I trust, when I need to.
BTW - I remove my REAL Skid Plate (not a pseudo splash guard) before my truck goes into the shop.

Replacing your oil is not "working on your own truck"

With all that dough, why you slummin' it in a 4Runner and shopping at Wal Mart? You oughta be at least rollin' in a Land Cruiser and shopping at Target. :hail: :laugh:
Seriously though, lesson learned. I wouldn't trust my lawn mower to a Wal Mart (or most any other Lube Express joint). Like you said, there's a reason you typically do these things yourself. This day and age you can't hardly trust the trained, better paid techs to care and do a job right, much less a high school/college minimum wage earner at Wal Mart. They just don't care about you, me, our expectations, or how much money we have in the bank. All they're gonna get is the same measly $5 for a half hour job.

You gotta buy a Jeep to get that kind of experience. All Toyota's should ever need are oil and filter changes, and occasionally refill the washer fluid. :bounce:
