I’ve been reading this forum for months now.Great stuff! I just had to post my own comment and share something with fellow 4Runner enthusiasts. I have been driving SUV’s for years now, most recently a Mercedes ML50 (which I hated) and even though I don’t do any off roading and live in a place where it rarely snows, I just like the look and feel of an SUV. Been driving one or another for years now. Rodeo, Jeeps,etc....but there is nothing like a 4Runner. Before I bought the Mercedes, I had a 4th gen 4Runner. Loved it, but thought I would “upgrade” to the Mercedes. Like I said, I don’t off road, and the weather here is fairly mild, so why not up the luxury and go easy on the “truck” aspects? Well, what a mistake that was!!! Back to a 4Runner now. 2012 (bought it new last year) Black, Limited, 2WD, loaded. I absolutely LOVE this truck. I love the way it drives, I love the way it feels..and I absolutely love the way it looks. It’s mean, it’s a real truck, it is awesome. So yeah, I’m probably not like most of you guys who off road, add mods and run it hard and prefer the 4WD (just no need for me) but I am a 4Runner loyalist and I do love that damn truck.
