Why is lift kit different sizes

Hello im new here, just bought my first 4runner, its 93 sr5 with v6, i searched around but couldnt find, why when i look at cheap lift kits like just the kits that sell spacers for front and rear do they have like 1" more lift in the front than the rear? dont the rear normally sag? so why would the rear want more lift?
any help or advice would be great or point me to thread that maybe covered this already. thanks

The rear sags over time with old worn out springs, however it normally starts out an inch or two higher than the front in the first place. Most lift kits include new rear springs and are designed for a nice level appearance. This is why you will also see what are called leveling kits. Leveling kits are almost always just a spacer you put up front in order to bring it level with the back. I hope this helps answer your question.

that makes sense, i guess when they say levelling kit they mean that in a sense of raising the front to match rear if the rear isnt sagging, not to raise a sagging rear

I'm sure that your rear coils have sagged. THE best thing to do is replace the rear coils. A cheap way to replace the rear coils is by using the rear coils off a jf80. I'm sure that there are different height coils but, sorry I don't know which will be best for you.

Sticking a spacer on a coil that is badly sagging is just a short term band-aid.

Now you got it! Another trap to avoid that people often fall into is, while trying to fix the rear sag, they order LIFT springs for the rear. You don't need a lift, you need stock height springs that aren't sagging, which will now match the front (or be slightly higher as per original design). I know it sounds silly, but it's done all the time, and then they wonder why the rear is so darned tall now!
