Why is my check engine/Trac/VCSC light on??

I just put in new spark plugs. Why would my check engine and trac/VCSC light be on? I did have the air sensor plug unplugged (on top of the airbox) when I first started the engine and the engine died right away. Reconnected the airflow sensor and started up fine. Runs smooth throughout RPM band. But those three light are on. Does the computer need to reset because I started the engine with the sensor unplugged?

the sensor un plugged any and you crank the engine the PCM will throw a code. that code will be a confirmed failure and most vehicles would have to cycle thru several operating cycles.

disconnect the battery for a few hours see if it resets. if not then it will require the cycling to make the PCM happy that it is not a failure.

Toyota computer programmer will reset this .

would be good if you have the code that would help on the exact PCM *****.

Thanks for the quick response. After I posted I used my noggin and googled the problem and all kinds of stuff came up :faint:

I pulled my MAF sensor and it's dirty. Going to clean it. Hopefully that clears everything. I already went and ensured I didn't inadvertently unplug any hoses ect.

Post your results. I have lights on also after doing my timing belt.
