Widest rim/tire for LIMITED?

I'm considering replacing my factory 20's with aftermarket 20" wheels. Anyone know what's the widest wheel/tire combo I can fit on a stock Limited without rubbing?

Not that easy. Depends on BS and offset and specific rim. Your overall tire circumference you have now can be bumped up one size only without rubbing at all. Two sizes and you have to do minor mods, Depending on which wheel you go with.

I'm running KMC Hoss XD795 20x9 wheels with BS of 4.5 and offset of -12 and Nitto Terra Grapplers 285/50R20.

I too would like to see some pictures of a Limited with lifts/ wheels/ tires. I had no idea when I bought the Limited that I was so limited in tires. Had I known, I might have got the SR5, many of which have more options than my Limited anyways, but that's another story.

So the tires on my Limited wheel's are 245/60/20. It seems most guys i've seen on here with aftermarket 20" wheels, are using a 275 or 285/50/20 tire. Is it just a personal preference thing to have a lower profile tire?

I've also narrowed down the wheel that i'm thinking of going with.

20x9 with a 20 offset. These are the 22" version

Because of the backspacing, I assume that I should run a 1.25" Spidertrax spacer.

Would a 285/55/20 tire work with this combo?

You can run same wheel tire/combo as any other 5th gen 4Runner. You are not limited to just the OE wheel diameter.

Understood. I'm just unsure with the backspacing/offset of this wheel what the biggest tire would work without rubbing.

you can't go wrong with 20's or 22's in this style. Black Rhino also has the Traverse that is pretty good looking too...
I am just fond of the Peaks, and I get a lot of compliments on them.

That depends on the tire. Not sure if this link will work, but Tire Rack says the Geolander fits wheels 7-8.5 wide. You could definitely try them out, but 245 is really narrow for a 9 wide wheel.

They will fit and will work, just a matter of taste on the look. Tire rack has a small disclaimer when ordering a -12 offset. It states that a lift or other mods may be required but no disclaimer when ordering same wheel with +12 or 18 offset.

I have been looking myself and plan on going with a 275/55/20 with a +12 or +18.

No, it actually doesn't. I'm asking if the tires will fit on a 20x9 inch wheel.
