Wierd engine sound

Hello,

I have a 2004 4Runner Sport with a V8. Sometimes when I accelerate I here a strange sound. I had Toyota do a check of the engine, but they said everything is fine.

Basically, the engine makes a slight roaring sound when I accelerate. Its not extremely loud, but it is noticable. It also seems like there is not as much power too. Usually it seems to happen when I've left it idling for a while, but sometimes its completely random. Also, i've found that when I turn the engine off and then restart it the problem goes away.

Any ideas??? :awais:

It's your cooling fan kicking in, works off a clutch. not a problem
