Will 2016 4Runner have BSM as an option?

Man you're a nightmare , Nothing will be released to the public "YOU" until the normal Toyota press release in a few months. a dealer could place your order for a 2016 4runner (without BSM) right now. That's what Dealer ordering begins June 1 means,they don't want the dumb public like yourself bothering them yet. Wait till the press release ,then place your order then wait three months,Or my guess is you'll order nothing and buy nothing.

It surprised me my question bothered you so much. I can see that you are so easy to get a nightmare. The only reason I care about 2016 model is because I want a TRD PRO and could not get one. I am a little bit inpatient because the 2015 model was released early May last year. That's all. I am not sure what's wrong with this. If you know the answer, I appreciate your help. If you know nothing like I do, you can ignore the message. I dont understand why you have to be judgmental.

Many people already drive like it is the least important task in their busy commute schedule of putting on makeup, adjusting the radio, talking on phones, texting on phones, selfies on phones, games on phones, and so on.

For a lot of people, eliminating that annoying "paying attention to traffic" task would finally free up their eyes & hands so they can dedicate the time to Farmville and Angry Birds that they've always wished for.

Searching for the 2016 4Runner

Yesterday I did a quick search for info on the 2016 Toyota 4Runner. What I found were 6 or 7 different rumor sites all pitching slightly different scenarios. They all seemed to be reading each other's websites and repeating everything they thought people would want to hear. There was noting official from Toyota.

The 2016 Tacoma has ben announced, but there's nothing specific except a few pictures of the grill and some sales hype. No spec's.

One or two articles I read said the 4Runner usually goes through major upgrades, like a 6th generation, every 7 years. That means maybe in 2017 we'd see a major overhaul/upgrade. From what I read and remember, the 2015 T4R was announced in the fall and available for sale around November 1st. I remember seeing 2014 and 2015 for sale in October, 2014. They expect the same this year.

The rumor sites all predicted little change for 2016 in the body style. Just cosmetic changes to refresh the front grill and tailgate looks. In addition to the same V6 we have now they're guessing a diesel option and a V8 option. I have to say, I'd be tempted by a V8 with a 6 speed automatic or stick shift. They're predicting LED lighting and some interior cab tech upgrades (don't hold your breath for the later).

Again, the dealers don't know anything yet. And if they do know anything, they can't say.

Two weeks ago I ordered a T4R Trail Edition. I wanted it without the NAV but I got a call yesterday telling me that Toyota could not build a 2015 without the NAV. Every T4R I've seen for sale lately has had the NAV so I wasn't too surprised. They told me it was too late in the year to build a T4R without NAV, leading me to believe all of the audio units have been made for all of the trucks they plan to build. It also suggests that next years T4R will have a different Audio unit in it, whether its just cosmetic changes or a change to the Audio/NAV system. The dealer did say Toyota would take an order to build a 2016 without the NAV, but it would be a while longer before it was built. I asked for any details they might have on the 2016 but the dealer had no info on that. They will be building my 2015 in a few weeks, which suggests they're not building the 2016 yet.

I agree that they are married to gas and hybrids but if they did a vehicle with a diesel the Land Cruiser would be my first bet and the 4runner my second simply because historically they have had a diesel option in most of the world and the Landcruiser and Prado already have diesels so it's a direct swap, they just need to do emissions.

I don't know the history between you guys (herdinor has only been a member of T4R.org since April) but I don't hear any malice in any of herdinor's posts here. He's being quite neutral and asking for info. He is asking why a few people are being so obnoxious, which is a fair question.

We should all take the high road here. Just because you feel slighted or offended does not mean you should offend in return. Try a little courtesy and plain talk and leave the personal attacks out. It's a waste of everyone's time and energy. Thanks.

Most of the rumor websites I read were clearly written by people speaking English as a very distant 2nd language. Or they were poor translations by Google Translate. They may be speaking to the world wide audience which includes most of the globe. The Middle East is a big marketplace for Toyota & Prada, among other continents. I have to laugh at how many I see in the news driven by radical warring extremists.

That's the problem. US emissions standards are so tough. For me, I like the V6. It's tried and true, gets decent mileage, makes decent power and doesn't cost a fortune to repair.

THIS is only rumor, but..... I heard the 2016 Trail will have a hood scoop that's auto dimming, leaving the driver glare free, and able to check Facebook every 15 seconds instead of the normal 20 second interval offered by the current Trail. If true, I'll be purchasing immediately.

You can adjust your mirrors so there is effectively no blind spot. I have mine adjusted so I can see a car in the rear view mirror approaching from behind on my left. Just as the car goes out of view in my rear view mirror, it comes into view with my side mirror, and just when it goes out of view in my rear view mirror, I see it out of the corner of my eye. I have continuous sight of the vehicle -- so a glance over the shoulder isn't as necessary as it use to be.

As a longtime member, I'm quite surprised you haven't seen the 67809808 posts regarding "next years model" This pertains to any generation 4Runner. Nobody knows. Period. Everything is speculation. Jeeze some of you take this "what's in the next 4runner, my life depends on it" waaaaaaaay to seriously. I side with Philsey and many others I'm sure agree as well. Having that said, it's fun to speculate, but that get taken away when it is taken too seriously.

Summation: Who cares. Speculation is just that, anyone's guess. We'll see what comes out in next years model or generation and when it does, we (most) we love it. 4Runners were NEVER known to have the latest and greatest, why would that change?

Anyway, I look forward in the V8 diesel hybrid they plan on stuffing in the 6th gen 4runner!!!!!

So anyway, I too heard from my inside source the V8 diesel hybrid is coming as well as auto lift gate (can't wait, it's so heavy!!) I mean a coworker has a Tickle-me-Princess crossover, and it has auto lift gate. I'm soooo tired of being viewed as that behind latest technology guy that drives the big gas guzzler.

But what I'm looking forward to, the adjustable cup holders!! The ones on the '15 are soooo horrible
