Will 255/70/R18 Duratracs fit?

Newbie just trying to get the ropes. Have a new to me 2008 Limited with XREAS. Great tires on her now, but a bit too street style for my taste.

Looking for a larger tire without having to lift right away. Stock are 265/60/r18 which measure a smidge over 30". The 255's are 32.1" but a tiny bit narrower.

Does the rubbing people get generally come as a result of too tall a tire or additional width?

Ideally I would keep the stock rims. Anyone run this size on the 18" rims and if so, got any pictures or insight? I would consider adding wheel spacers if needed.

Long term plan could include a lift if needed, but I want to keep the XREAS and would like to rock some larger tires without HAVING to lift.

It looks like you'll need to at least level it out to fit those 32s.

Thanks. I did read through that post a few times as well as several others. What is stumping me is that the 255/70 appears to be newer to the market so there isn't much info on them with the 4th gen 4 runners.

Was hoping they would fit without rubbing, but maybe a leveling kit is the answer to be safe.

Keep in mind rim size matters...255/70/18 is the same as 255/75/17. You'll get a lot more info searching for 255/75/17. With minor work, they should fit at stock height. Mostly you'll just need to push the fender liner forward. If you add wheel spacers or aftermarket wheels, you will have more rubbing issues.

i do have 255/70/18. im running bfg rugged terrains with a lift now but i did have them on for about 6 months without a lift with no problems after moving the fender liner. moving the fender liner is a must when putting these tires on. after the fender liner was moved i had no problems at full flex stock

Very interested in this. I have an 07 Limited with the 18s. I cannot find any tires I like and I dont want to lift the vehicle. Its really frustrating.

Those look good but i'll give you some advice.. If you really like that tire and how it looks, lose the 18s and get the 17s.. You could sell your wheels and replace them with 17s.. IMHO the 17s just look a tad better.. If I could have gone 16s, I would.. Either way though you can't go wrong with those.

It's just a matter of preference. I think 18's look better. One thing i will say is if you plan to wheel 17's are better option. 18's get hacked up off road.

i would also swap for 17's if you can. i would have if i had the time before i got my new tires but i got a razor blade in the sidewall somehow and was in a time crunch on new tires. the tundra split spokes are a good option if you go to 17's

Thanks for the photos. I think a mild lift would be appropriate to balance the look after seeing these pictures.

As for wheels, I don't mind the 18's and don't really want to spend extra on wheels too. Been looking for take-offs, but slim picking.

I think the spacer lift could solve the look.
