Will 295's Fit?

Looking around here I can't seem to find anyone running 295/75r16 tires on a 4th gen. I was highly considering the BFG A/T version of these for my next build because they are true 33 inch tires.

I'm planning on a 3 inch lift. Probably Toytec Coilovers up front and a Metal Tech long travel in the rear, as well as wheel spacers to prevent contact with the UCA. They don't seem all that much larger than 285's, so what do you guys think about fitment?

Also forgot to add that I will be upgrading to an off road bumper in the front as well, hopefully Demello. That should handle any contact I might run into with the stock bumper up front.

If they are going on factory wheels, and you have a true 3" of lift, they should fit with maybe some minor rubbing on mud flaps and front of fender liner.

I am running LT295/70R17 Toyo Open COuntry MTs with after market wheels. +15mm offset I believe. They touch the upper control arms at full lock but that doesn't hurt anything and I removed the front of my plastic fender liner.

The BFG tire runs about 10% smaller than say Toyo or Goodyear. The website says 33.2" for a 298/75r16". A 285/75r16" is 33" on 8" wide wheel So you should clear with the right trimming. 1/4" shouldn't make or break the size you want

They should fit fine, Linus on 120 has 295's on no body lift.

I'm also looking at Dynapro MT's in this size. They run 33.4 inches high and 11.6 inches wide. I know some guys are running these on FJ Cruisers, so what about our 4Runners?

I run Nitto Trail Grapplers in 295/70/17 on stock rims and Spidertrax spacers and it does work. The Nitto’s, like the Toyo’s will run big though, and actually measure about 33.75 tall, so if you’re not running a BL, you’ll have some work to do in order to keep it from rubbing hard. Be prepared to do a BM chop, trim and remove most plastic, and hammer down the pinch welds front and rear. I’ve got about 95% or all of the rubbing issues out, but will still make contact with the front inner wheel well at full stuff. I could either do a BL or extend my bump stops down, a bit, but I haven’t been overly motivated to do so. Long story short, it can be done and looks and works well, once you do some work on it.

The Dynapro's run 33.4 inches tall so I might fare well with rubbing issues if you can fit 33.7. Although I just looked up the specs on yours and it says they are 33.2 inches tall? I might have to do some research for real world sizes on the two of them.

Some brands run bigger than what's listed. Toyo and Nitto are notorious for it. Not sure on the Hankooks though. I do really like their MT's though.
