Will a 2006 OEM JBL Radio fit a 2003 with the JBL Radio?

I am looking for a new radio my JBL radio in my 2003 4runner is acting up. Will a 2006 JBL radio fit my 2003? Also can the 2006 radios play MP3's?

All '06 radios (basic, JBL and nav) are MP3/WMA capable.

It should fit as long as your replacing with a similar type of radio. What I mean is if you have a single disc JBL, you can swap in the 2006 single disc jbl without problems. You'll run into issues when you try to sway a single disc with a 6 disc (or vice versa) as some plastics are shaped differently.
