Will airbag removal throw a code?

Long story short, I have a very nice Momo steering wheel that I'd like to install in my '05. It was a gift from my wife quite a few years ago. The grip is perfect and it looks dead sexy. Seeing as it will eliminate the airbag, will the ECM throw a code?

**Please refrain from the safety lectures. I also drive a '71 510 very regularly. I know I'm far safer in the Runner even w/o an airbag.

Many thanks.

Hey, post of pic of the final install!

Your airbag system will be completely disabled and you will have no airbag protection, as well as thee annoying little lamp on the dash.

Besides that nothing else will happen really as it does not affect any other systems really. I would like to see installed pictures as well. :)

(Mild safety statement below out of concern for others reading this thread.)

Though I would be remise if I did not note that airbags help prevent internal injuries during accidents that a seatbelt and crumple zones cannot do alone, so choosing to eliminate that will be like going backwards in vehicle safety 20-30 years despite the vehicle being newer.

Also another to add would be, when you go to remove the air bag make sure you do it the right way to disable the air bag before you unplug and remove the air bag it self. only for the off chance that something where to go wrong/malfunction and the air bag to deploy and injure your self or some one else.
