Will doing donuts on pavement cause rollovers?

My 4runner has a 3" suspension lift and a 2" body lift, rolling on 285/70-17 teracraplers .

The question is - on dry flat pavement, will doing donuts cause the 4runner to roll over?

I think the only way to do it would be to have a V8 conversion and perhaps a supercharged V8 at that... (not answering the question though...)

The easiest way to avoid a rollover while doing donuts on dry pavement is by never doing donuts on dry pavement. Thats what I heard, anyway.

Have a roof rack? It's all about where your center of gravity is. I haven't rolled mine with a defender rack and 5 inch overall lift like you, but I only drift on wet asphalt because V6 and stock gears......... (Disclaimer: I accept 0 liability if you die)

Can't say first hand if doing donuts on dry pavement will work, however, this is how the jeep guys do it...

You'd be surprised. The 3.4 with stock sized tires can definitely tokyo drift.

I think the lift he has would scare me away from trying to do any donuts on dry pavement(not that I do this often).

I am crying on the inside...

but seriously.

I have 1974 Triumph Spitfire with a Turbo Mitsubishi Starion motor in it and it is a drift queen. Drop it down a gear going into a turn and it will do the most perfect sideways drift.

My 4runner breaks traction going forward so drifting it would be no problem. I just don't want to end up on the roof.
