Will I rub?

Hello all,

I did some searching but cannot find an answer.

I am curious if I will rub with a set of 285/75-R16's on 16"x8" wheels with a 4.5" backspacing.

I am lifted and I know I will clear the body/frame, but will I hit the upper control arms?

I searched and could not find the info I was looking for.

My SCS F5 wheels are the 4.5 backspace model and I have 285/75/16 goodyear MTRs. Only rubbing I've had is on the plastic wheel well near the outer rear edge but only in reverse. I need to trim it but just haven't yet. This applies to both the factory upper arms and with the Light Racing on there now. I have the Sonoran steel 1.2 lift for reference.

Hmm really? I come dangerously close to the upper control arms with the 265/75 - R16's on there now. I have one worn down 285 Goodyear Wrangler on my spare wheel (same as the other 4 on the truck), and it doesn't appear to hit the UCA but I obviously haven't driven it around either since I only have 1 285.

For what it's worth, I am lifted with Bilstein 5100's + Toytec coils up front and LC springs in the rear

Don't know. Can only relay my experience.

Mine clear the UCAs but rubbed on the fender so I needed to trim a little, now they don't rub even at full lock.

Mainly the front part, had to cut like a 1"x1" piece out so the tires could turn left and right. Then in the back of the fender I think just some hammering and cutting of the inner plastic of the wheel well. If you have someone else outside the vehicle while you back it in and out of the driveway it's SO much easier!

Appreciate the heads up, the worn 285 seemed to clear, but we'll see.
