Will new springs lift me higher?

Hey guys,

I have a 2002 4Runner 4X4 Sport edition. She is all stock w 200K miles. I am replacing the LCA bushings, sway bar bushings and replacing the coil/strut assy's with new ones.

1.) My question is, will the new springs lift my Runner higher in the front? I have read some people saying it made their truck sit higher in the front. I'm guessing the fronts sag some after 200,000 miles.

2.) If this is true, I would like to know where to get the 99 4Runner springs that will even this effect out.

3.) I have new KYB shocks ready to go in on the rear. If I buy 99 springs, will the KYBs I have for a 2002 work with them? Or will I have to get KYB's for a 99?

1. there may have been some sag in the front, but most likely, there would have been some in the rear too.

2. junk-yards. Look for 4x4 with 16" wheels

3. All 96-02 springs are interchangeable in terms of the mounting diameters.
 
4. If you are going to replace the rears, may as well buy some new 906s from OME. Should bring the back end up, and will give your truck a nice stance with the new front end. Most likely any 99 coils you find will have a significant amount of use by now, and may not be worth the time and effort. And you can use the KYBs you are wanting to use.
 
Wow those babies are $439.00 shipped. I might just try a junk yard. I only plan on having this 4runner for maybe a year. I pull a boat so I am looking at going with an F-250.

oh yeah, well then just replace shocks and say the heck with it. If the rear sags, throw a spacer on the springs and call it a day.
 
Sorry guys but more questions. So I just watched a video from Speedys garage about installing 906 EMU's in the rear with Billstien 5100 shocks. He states at 28:14 in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9-0hMzv_RU&feature=youtube_gdata_playerthat I will need a longer shock to get the most out of this ride. Again I'm not off roading but just a daily driver and I pull a boat every now and again. If I use a stock length shock am I neutralizing what I've just done?

If I can return these KYB's to Auto Zone I'll buy the billstiens. Is it worth it? I think AutoZone charged me $60 each for the KYB's. I found them online for $32 per shock. Now I feel ripped off!
 
You do not need extended shocks for the 906s, especially if you're not going to offroad. Many many people use stock, or Bilstein 4600s (stock length) with 906s as well. They are slightly taller than stock springs, but not so much that as a DD you'd mess anything up miss out on anything.
