Will these tires fit?

I have a stock 94 runner sitting on 31x10.5 r 15 right now. The only modification I have done to the rig is put FJ springs in the rear and new shocks. I have the standard factory 15" rim and I am looking for bigger tires. I have found a set of 33x13.5r15 for a really smokin good deal, just wanted to see if anyone has any experience to make this fit. Not opposed to cutting or pounding a little so they will get in there and a little rubbing will not kill the deal either.

A nice 2" Old Man Emu lift would certainly help the clearance, and give you a top quality suspension to boot. Of course, there are those here who can help with tips on pounding out some clearance without lifting, too. I'd personally go with a little bit of lift, for the extra ground clearance underneath--that small amount won't hurt the CoG very much, especially with the extra width of those tires (in fact, that tire width might necessitate some pounding even with the lift).

Those stock rims are 15x7" wide. The max width tire u could run would be an 11.50. For 13.50s you're gonna need a 10" wide rim, 9" minimum.

Theyll fit. You can absolutey put them on a stock rim.. Is it over the "rule of thumb" for the rim, yes. But theyll fit. But make sure you have enough clearance between the tire and the UCA. They would not fit if you had ball joint spacers... . also expect the centers to wear out faster if your driving it on the pavement a lot, because of the narrow rim.

And 33s should fit fine with just a little pinch weld trimming, but the added with might rub more than where a 12.5 would.

Yes u can put 13.50s on a 7" wide rim, but just because u CAN do something, doesn't mean u should. I've run 12.50s on an 8" wide rim and I'm currently running 10.50s on a 6" wide rim. That's a difference of 4.5", which is the max any tire mfr. recommends. U are looking at a 6.5" drop, far beyond what is recommended. But what do I know... :wow2:

P.S. Don't cut the pinch-weld, pound it back with a BFH.
