Will this work?

Hello all I've been looking into my next 4x4 vehicle and am heavily leaning towards an 06+ V6 4Runner preferably Sport Edition and I've got to the point of needing specific advice to my own setup I'm planning out.

Plans for any of my 4x4 vehicle is a small leveling lift kit, I like the Daystar lift a lot 2.5f / 1.5r and would like to fit 265/70/17 BFG ATs. From other threads / FAQs I know these will fit but I'm not sure if the Spidertrax wheel spacers are needed to prevent having to dremel out my wheel wells to prevent major rubbing? I have ALWAYS been told wheel spacers cause much more damage then good on components but see A LOT of 4Runners that run these Spidertrax spacers.

For a Daystar 2.5f / 1.5r lift with 265/70/17 BFG ATs would I need to go either route (dremel / wheel spacers) or would I have enough clearance to not need either?

DS spacer lift should work just fine with 265-70-17. That is a popular-common setup.

*If* you add wheel spacers you may need to trim your front bumper just a tad, push the wheel liner forward and maybe remove the front mud flap.

Hubcentric wheel spacers like the ones from Spidertrax and AllPro support the load like the hub does. It isn't like the only flat style where the load is no longer supported properly. You won't have any problems. I run the AllPro spacers and many run the Spidertrax spacers.

I have been running that combination on my 03 with no spacers for years. Works great, no rubbing even completely flexed out off road.
