Will this work?

I'm thinking about beefing up my daily driver (Stock 2003 limited with XREAS) after getting into some sticky situations (high centered) getting in and out of my favorite fishing spots. Unfortunately I know very little. I'm just sort of in the preliminary research phase and looking into all options. I have studied the stickied suspension post thoroughly but I'm still concerned.

I have roughly settled on THIS: 3" lift / leveling kit for FJ & 4Runner

Plus these "BF Goodrich All-Terrain TA KO2 LT275/70R17/E 121R" eventually.

Maybe These "Goodyear Wrangler MT/R w/Kevlar - LT275/70R17E"

Currently have 265/65/R17's

Will those bigger tires work with that lift without any additional trimming or modifying? Could I run with my current tires and the lift for a while?

That spacer lift will certainly work, but seeing that you have an '03 with XREAS it might be time to start thinking about replacing the shocks. How many miles do you have on your 4Runner?

As for the tires... I ran 265/70's (+1 size) on the factory wheels with stock suspension and didn't rub anywhere, but I was close to the upper control arm. After I added Spidertrax, I rubbed the fender liner and mud flaps. I would think that the 275/70's would be really close to the UCAs and might rub so a different offset might be needed which would mean removing the mud flaps and pushing the fender liners forward.

I first did a 2/1 lift (FJ coils and front spacer) with my XREAS shocks and quickly realized how short the XREAS shocks are... it worked, but the shocks definitely limited down-travel. Something more for you to think about!
