Will Trail Premium TPMS transfer to TRDwheels?

Looking to change my wheels from Trail Premium "wagon wheels" to TRD Pro. both are 17", but local dealer can't say for sure if the current TPMS sensors can be installed on the TRD wheels. Apparently it's a big mystery.

Anyone change there wheels out like this and reuse sensors that came with the truck or did you have to buy sensors that fit the TRD wheels? Wheels I have now are in the image below.

Soured the forum for this answer but it has eluded me thus far.

Yes they should swap over no problem. Many people have done the exact same thing. I just purchased a set of TRD wheels and will be having them swapped over as well.

Just to solve this mystery once and for all, all Toyota aluminum wheel TPMS will swap over to any other Toyota aluminum wheel, no problem. SR5 to TE, SR5 to TRDP, TE to TRDP, etc.

Steel wheel TPMS (not used in the 4R, but on base Tacos, for example) will also work on aluminum wheels BUT has to be rotated to a different orientation inside the tire and is vulnerable to damage when the tires are later dismounted from the rim. If you were to go this route then you'd need to inform the tire shop doing any subsequent work that the TPMS is from a steel wheel and was rotated so they can take precautions to prevent breaking it when they dismount the tire.

275 x 70 x 17 KO2s. Had a little rub on the front left, but pushed the inner liner forward to alleviate as others here have. Looking at possibly adding spidertrax spacers, too. I expect I'll have to do a little trimming of the fenders too with those and the TRD Wheels.
